Working On Now
I'm starting to draw the new Incredible Change-Bots book. I'm drawing on paper formally part of a hardcover blank sketchbook, which is now a no cover book, so I needed something to carry it. This appropriately themed box happened to be the exact fit.
In addition to the book I can carry all of my extras. On top is a sheet I'm using to test pens on, which will get more use once I start coloring.
Inside (clockwise from upper left): the box, reference pages torn out of a copy of the first book that had printing errors, the sketchbook with panel grid, a pen (new pen to draw this one), the script and pen test sheet, and a Transformers toy package for inspiration.

Sweet Box! That's a really cool way to organize all the stuff relating to the new book.
ReplyDeleteThats a pretty interesting panel grid. it's really cool seeing all the stuff you work with. What kind of pen is that!
ReplyDeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteNow I can just wait for the new book. It's all I can do.
I loved the #1! Good Luck on this new one.
it must be pretty awesome to draw for a living...
ReplyDeleteLong live the Uni-ball Deluxe Micro!
ReplyDeleteThat pen is a Staedtler .3 pigment liner, but I think I'm going to order some Faber Castell XS Pitt artist pens, which work slightly better with the paper in giving a slightly thinner line. I use the Faber Castell brush pens to color anyway, so makes sense. Uni-Ball is still my go to pen for sketchbooks, autobiographical stories, and various projects, like the short Fraggle Rock story I'm also working on right now.
ReplyDeleteWow. Looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteIt's cool seeing this, Changebots has an awesome feeling around it for me, I remember reading it on the weekend I went to see my sister for her graduation, OVERSHARE.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, are you planning to come back to the UK for any comic shows in the near future?
